Fate/Stay Night Réalta Nua

I know there are a visual novel topic, but this is a special one. It considered as the best one in the genre by the fans of the visual novels. Also myself think this is worth its prize.


Fate/Stay Night, the war for the Holy Grail, the one that make even the impossible wish true. The war between magus, fought with heroic spirits summoned by the Grail itself. Master is the magi who summoned a heroic spirit, Servant is the heroic spirit itself, the strongest, unattainable form of summons granted by the Grail. The war is ruthless. Seven Masters with seven Servants fight to kill each other. The one win who still alive. Servants are fight for their Master even with their lives. If a Servant die, it is like a knight lose his sword. Masters still can fight from their own. If a Master die, it means complete defeat. The seven Servants represents seven class with its unique abilities, called Noble Phantasm. These are the legends itself, the weapon or tool used the hero in its live. Yes, Servants are legendary heroes from the past or from folklore with enough faith to be realized by the Grail. These heroes now battle against each other for the Holy prize.

So... this is a classic visual novel. There are not much interaction, more like an interactive book rather than a game. It still worth its title. Deep story, beautiful artworks, addictive musics and sounds. The caracters is very interesting, and anyone could find one he can like.

The Réalta Nua stands for the re-release of the game. Originally the game was released on Windows, latter ported to PS2 with additional features such as the full voice acting. The new release on Windows contains these features. The game now has an english patch too.

If you like a genre, it is a must try.

Yes, it has two animated seasons for the Fate and Unlimited Blade Works scenario. Also has a movie for Unlimited Blade Works. There are the Fate/Zero which was based on the light novel prequel. I think the Fate/Zero is the best amongst these animes.

As for the Fate/Stay Night animes... those are a very bad ports of the original game. Has only the half of the contents of the game.

I wanted to see the anime and movies correctly
but the story line is a bit complicated for me

The whole story is complicated. The difference between the visual novel and the anime is that, the visual novel tells everything.

The cronological order is
1. Fate/Zero
2. Fate/Stay Night -FATE-
3. Fate/Stay Night -UNLIMITED BLADE WORKS-

The Unlimited Blade Works has a series of 26 episodes and a movie. It is no matter which one you watch. Both of those tells the same story. But I still think the visual novel was more completed compared to the anime. XD

Yeah, but I not like those. I not even like one of the anime series. They left out too many important things compared to the visual novel.

But there is an another PC game I like based on the Fate/Stay Night, called Crucis Fatal Fake. It is a 3D fighting game focuses on the Master/Servant team. You can switch between the selected Master and Servant. If your Servant die you will still continue the game... however if you Master die, you lose immediately. It has a working online multiplayer too.

Not just looks, it is good. One of my favorite fighting games. There are no long combos you get bored watching till the opponent stops. It is really fun game. If you want I upload it to Mediafire.

It is the full game, patched up to 1.22. Just extract it and you're ready to play. I translated the launcher to english to be easier to set up the game.

Sadly I can't do anything with the in-game texts. The texts are unicode characters scripted into .la files. I not even now how can I descript it. Maybe with hex editor, but that would be extremely hard, since the file is scripted. Even if you find the strings in hex, you still need the script to put your new code inside the file.

Yeah, basically my favorite fighting game. It isn't have long and complex combo, and it is fun time to time.
