What's new?

heyyy so this game have many time I'm curious what's new with the game?? some new mods? or maybe we will have to work more with ukwxp?

There are videos about several mods and models for SV, but non of them are new or continued. The game itself still doesn't appear on the Project Windom official website, only the old Lite version. The game server also was taken down, since it no longer can connect.

I think if we want to work with that game, we should do reverse enginering, and extend the game.

Because Windom XP was developed through 5-6 years, including the Bootfighter, basically the very same as Ultimate Knight. Windom SV has a completely different system, new or re-arranged engine. It was released in late 2012 and the latest patch was released at 2013. The new version of Windom SV was not announced on the official site. There was a project page but that wasn't shared and only available with direct URL.

And now the bad... I wanted to link the page for you now but the whole Project Windom website is not exist. I repeat this. Project Windom is officially and completely down. I guess this kind of news have to be told at the "Important News" topic.

shit, i came back to this site after awhile to learn the windom site is gone.

as for reverse engineering.  i have only reversed engineered files not whole programs.

Yep, this mean the development also ended. Read the licence agreement of Windom SV, maybe it got a new developer.

Reverse enginering programs to "at least usable" sources is the hardest possible way of modding. Not any of the data files contains all the engine's parameters. Like specifying your coordinates in the middle of a jungel without GPS. You have to puzzle the details to get some approximate datas. And then you have to build up the engine again from deficient sources.

It is easier to use a new, open source engine. Unreal Engine is good but I guess the Cube 2 is more fitting for this.
