History:

I'm a longtime fan of this project. It is very good to see finally a digital release. Very Happy

The SoulSaber 2 is a 3D TPS arena action game. Like many other game in this genre it features different characters with different abilities and stats. It also uses lock-on system instead of mouse controlled crosshair. The characters are mostly humanoid androids equiped with weapons that uses the android's energy source. All characters has a melee and a shooting attack (the long range specialized units sometimes has two shooting attacks instead a melee weapon), as well as special attacks. The weapons automatically target the opponent you lock-on. However you will not fire exactly to that target, instead you fire toward a separate crosshair. This crosshair changes its position around the target as you move or change the camera angle. This helps you to fire a predicted place and makes harder to evade.

The characters are extremely different. There are four type of units in the game. Each type is useful for a different role in the team (there is always two team, can't be changed). There are units that have no chance by itself against an another one, but effective against a third type. The effectiveness always depends on the fighting style. Moving faster will decrease the power and damage, while the slow movement increase the defense. Sometimes the attack itself changes depending on the speed (on normal speed it fire slow but strong bullets, with dash it fires faster but use weak bullets for example).

The game also has online multiplayer mode, and has bots for offline and online game modes. To unlock more characters however you need to play online since you got experience from it.

And finally a gameplay video. I did not uploaded one myself because I work on translating the game to english. If I finished maybe I will make one. Smile

It is comfortable if you used to it, but very hard for new players. During moving it is extremely hard to hit anything if you not know the way. It requires some practice, especial the melee specialized units.

I wonder.. I know the creators made this too, but what happened to that other shooter type game Yamadaya made? I recall they did this SD Gundam type game that combines UCGO with SDGO. you could customize the units with different weapons, and theres a system of rank up/down where you can earn or LOSE your MS.

This works the exact same except with the Project Armed Doll's characters. The other game was called Walkergunner and use the exact same movement system. It is still on beta 0.12, and the latest update was about a year ago. The SoulSaber made him famous, I no wonder that game has higher priority in development.

This game isn't loli style. It looks very normal for me. Try out the Touhou Hisoutensoku for loli characters. That is one of the most funniest fighting game ever. We played on that a lot. XD

Also there is the Touhou Sky Arena and the Magical Battle Arena NEXT, these has some loli characters too. These are 3D TPS games with lock-on, much like the Windom XP. Very Happy

And not just Japan, there is the first generation of the Transformers and the Unreal games. Also there is Duke Nukem, Shogo M.A.D., Blood 2, and the Sacred. But I could say the Diablo, Warhammer, and so on. Many epic legendary games and shows. Very Happy

Then start to be child again. Get these games and play again. I just installed the Dysnomia ExBurst.

That game still rocks. It is good when you can lock on enemies like in Windom XP, but when you can aim with mouse is a very different thing. Even if the weapon is a homing missile the aim still do a lot of thing. Aim upward and the missile will approach from above, fire toward the opponent's move and it will has more chance hitting it. Also the Dysnomia has more characters than UK. UK has 24, and the Dysnomia has 27. Very Happy

There is something I want to show you. If you thought SoulSaber 2 is a kind of loli game, then what about this?

This is loli... a parody game of Gundam with loli girls! Very Happy

It is always 2on2. You can equip your character with weapons that parody the classic Gundam weapons. Here you can see better:

Not as good as the SoulSaber 2, but really fun. Smile
