Yes, sometimes ower 50 m tall mechas with the weight of 100 t. These are walking battleships with a bunch of weapons.

The open source games are very common, but most of the times only the engine itself is open source. For example the Jedi Academy. It is a 1.5 Gb large Star Wars game, and now the engine is open source. The engine (without the Star Wars content) is about 10 Mb.

Yes, the Jedi Knight is a good trilogy. We played a lot with Jedi Academy online. I still had a lot of maps. A long ago I downloaded all the maps that has bot support.

Yes, and back then every game had direct IP connection option. I don't know why they leave it out nowdays. When nothing works, the direct IP always do the magic.

Actually the Windom XP is a lot easier and simple to play online. You put your friend IP in the right place, and everything is set.
To start a server you just run the included .exe, set the options if you want and that is ready too.
The Jedi Academy requires a little trick to be able to connect to direct address.

No, I never made any tutorial. But you just need to find the direct IP option. The trick is they isn't call it "direct IP".
There is a new version of the Justified Classes mod. Some gameplay and ability balance, and that's all. Only made it more smoother for multiplayer. Fun little game.

It is a stand alone Doom 2 mod, and runs on Zandronum. It is fully online compatible.

It was quite a while I posted in this topic. Anyway...
It is out since some months actually. The new updated packs the characters, weapons and maps from Mega Man 9 in the game. A whole new story chapter with its own boss battle also included.
The Justified Classes mod was also updated. The new characters are available as new classes, and the old ones were updated pretty much. Lot of fixes, ability changes, and the whole mod became a little more balanced.
If someone haven't tried out the game, this is the right time to do it.

I never was into Doom, Quake and Unreal, mostly because there is no difference no matter what you play. This Mega Man mod would be the same also if there is no classes mod for the game. I love trying the different classes, and even more fighting against the different players. It is like the Windom XP or the other similar games except you can aim manually instead a cheap lock-on. Also this makes it harder for less skilled players.

Still easier than the Red Eclipse. That is some kind of awesome FPS game.
