UKWXP Videos

I always wanted to do a full survival video with as many kills that make it even more epic than how it already looks. The problem is that, after a 18-20 minutes constant recording my PC will start to slow down. My HDD isn't suited these huge videos. As it lag, it is harder to play, but at least the video's quality isn't change because of this. So enjoy!

btw for u is more easy ukwsv or ukwxp?

The AI in UKWSV is nothing like challenge. They are just spamming lasers, and after they shot out everything it is easy target for anyone. Also the slow melee attacks easy to block. I played only 4 times in the game, and I never took a single hit.

The XP in other hands sometimes really agressive. The level 10 AI always try to surround me if there are at least two opponent. Since they not overuse the weapons, I can't find opening sometimes. Must to survive till they make a mistake.

sv I think for me is more hard I dont know the movement of this mechas is strange

The SV ctonrols is sluggish and unresponsive sadly. You can't make sharp turns, and can't counter change the direction you are heading. Of course your opponent can't do this either, so it is easy target if you stay on ground.

A new longplay with Linux Fennel. It is extremely strong once it can attack from very close range. If it can't get close, it can support the team.

For me this is the best mech style, I just love it.

Also I love the weapons design. It has fast projectile speed compared to other games in the genre. Some special weapons are can't be evaded or guarded just by reflex. The large lasers and the high-speed cannons fires too fast most of the times. If you not know what will happen it will hit you. The BlackComb's and the Primula's beam especial dangerous from close range since it is impossible to evade, extend very fast and has protection against the faster primary attacks.

I prefer wait for see a update on sv that make it better

Sadly there will be no upgrade on the maximum 4 player, and the open multiplayer. But every game in this genre has a maximum of 4 player with the exception of Windom XP with the maximum of 10.

Maybe if they make the SV looks more like the Magical Battle Arena or the Touhou Sky Arena would solve the lack of the players options Those are extremely fast arena fighting games. Sadly the Touhou Sky Arena did the very same mistake of the SV, and the gameplay is a little more boring than the older title.

definitely this game still lacks a lot of development still can not say anything at all but I hope at least a possible or modify the update better or improve that part as the previous title

The problem isn't its deficiency, but the way it's heading. It try copying the console Gundam games. It just throwed out every good concept of the original games. In its current state the game is about beam spamming while not hitting anything. It isn't a joke, in multiplayer it is impossible to land a hit with ranged weapons. Even if you spam like mad the projectiles are too slow and has no homing ability. There is no precision in the game at all. XD

Maybe I will record a netplay if it isn't that boring again. But till that time here is a Windom XP multiplayer.

ohh I like this version with black color btw I try to use a old mech of ukwxp on sv and is very strange the color "gold" is diferent on sv

In XP there is 10 possible palette for every mech, but 9 from these must be unlocked.

Maybe use a different kind of alpha and the color is mess up with the grey model. Or use different effect to make it shiny. I really don't know. The Ranunculus is in the SV too, but it works a little different. You should compare the two since the default color of the Ranunculus is gold. Maybe you figure out the thing.

The shiny effect in UKWXP is basically just a shader controlled mirroring effect based on the brightness. It will reflect back the models and textures it can see and have enough brightness. Much like the dynamic shadows only with different color.

The hard part is that it is controlled by the shader, or the shine effects is itself the shader. It is very hard to edit. More harder than the DirectX functions.

Cutting videos is an easy task. Making a complete new animation is hard. The best I can do is making AMV from an episode of something, like I did with Sailor Moon. It would be better to make an animation with the forum's own models. It will show everyone the quality of our modders' work.

Btw an another video which haven't been as good as it could be. Somehow it looks not that epic as I thought. Still looks fun. XD

That is fair. However then we need a strong machine to record with full quality in HD and with cool shaders.

I use openshot with linux is very easy to use but I am not a expert editing videos XC

I use the old Windows Movie Maker because that is the fastest program by far. XD

Anyway just cutting isn't hard. A good music, and good scenes, this makes up every video's base.

But I not really edit my videos. I want to keep it just pure gameplay showing how much fun we have. Just like as we did it the other day:

I tried many editors, and all of them works good. Vegas and Adobe Premiere the best out there. But as I said I not really edit my videos and if I do I never used effects. The Movie Maker save the video a way more faster than the others, and that is enough for me.

The most basic unit for use I think. You don't need strategy. Evade what you can, guard yourself, and fire the missiles everytime you have chance. However most of its weapons are ineffective if your oppenent is closer than 300 m.
